Katmai National Park

The largest concentration of Brown Bears in the world.
Brooks Falls - hike to the famous Falls where you can photograph bears while they feed on spawning salmon.
Dumpling Mountain - hike up to 2500' to get a bird's eye view - you will be able to soar with the eagles.
Native "Barbara" - hike to see a Native dwelling
Valley of 10,000 Smokes - a surreal volcanic moonscape where NASA sent it's moonwalkers to train. This is the home to the largest volcanic eruption in history which left 700' of ash in a 40 square mile area. This explosion was 10 times stronger than Mt. St Helens and if it occurred in New York City it would have been heard in Chicago. The most recent eruption in this area was in 1988 but you may still see smoke plumes. The Valley is proof of the earth's energy and reminds you is isn't dormant. You can fly over or take a bus tour of the Valley for an additional charge.
Guided River Exploration - the Naknek River has 4 million tributaries that feed into it and each has it's own personality. Our closest encounter with a bear and an eagle was on these tributaries. If you really want to get up close with nature.
Historic Land tour - visit both villages found on the "Alaskan Peninsula Highway" and get to know the people and their history. Fishing means survival to these people and the competition had been deadly! Hear the stories as told but an "old sourdough".

FOR THE BRAVEST AT HEART

Daily flightseeing trips can be arranged starting at $400/hour.

Aniakchak National Monument - the least visited of the National Parks - not for lack of beauty, but for lack of cooperative weather. It is home to a 6 mile, 2000 feet deep caldera caused by the collaspe of a 7000' mountain and one gorgeous "Wild and Scenic River". You must plan camping and at least one overnight because the weather can be ferocious.
Pacific Coast - home to 1000's of nesting shore birds, walrus, and a few stellar sea lions. A trip there allows you to see stunning sea cliffs, fjords, sparkling bays, and pristine beaches without the clutter of human dwellings.
Ugashik Lakes/Mt. Veniaminof - 8225' of smoldering volcano with a 30 mile base. It is the largest recorded active volcano. This is a very long day trip and requires cooperating weather but it will overwhelm you with it's size and beauty. The 6 hour flight seeing journey is worth it by itself.
Becharof Lake/Mt. Peulik - 2nd largest lake in Alaska where on the south shores you will find Ukinrek Maars(craters) which formed with recent activity in 1977 and is the only one in the US. Mt. Peulik has rocks which continuously emit gases and keep the bordering water at 120 degrees.

We would be glad to recommend many add-on destinations outside of the Peninsula if you need to see more of the state. Although, I am not sure why... the Peninsula only lacks crowds and gift shops.
